YOLANDA HUIJSAMER
WELCOME
There's nothing more important than you, or your child's well-being.

When your child struggles, the whole family struggles. I believe that meeting each child where he or she is, with age-appropriate play therapy is the key to addressing and relieving even the most intense issues.

When challenges in life come your way, you need expert guidance and support to get you back on track.
PLAYROOM DOORS OPEN FEBRUARY 2026
After a season of deep healing and slow breaths, I’m opening the playroom doors again — gently, intentionally, and with a renewed sense of purpose.

This next chapter holds more softness, more presence, and more trust in the quiet magic that happens when a child feels safe enough to play… and a parent feels supported enough to exhale.

In February 2026, I return with a fuller heart, steadier hands, and a deeper appreciation for the courage it takes for families to seek support.
Here, your child’s story will be held with care.
Here, your parenting journey will be met with compassion.
Here, play will once again become a pathway to healing, connection, and growth.

I can’t wait to welcome you back into a space built on warmth, attunement, and the belief that healing happens slowly, tenderly — and always together.

I’ve missed this work. I’m honoured to return.
And I’m ready to walk with you again.

If you’d like to be one of the first to know when bookings open,
you’re welcome to contact me and join the waiting list.

And I can’t wait to hold space with you again.

PLAY THERAPY - COUNSELLING - PARENT SUPPORT
HELLO.
MY NAME IS YOLANDA
founder of Hope@Work Practice. I'm a play therapist, social worker in private practice, family expert, and mother of two adult children. I've worked as a therapist for over 14 years and specialise in child therapy.
I'm a firm believer in family and my passion is that nobody gets left behind. That's why I not only focus on treating the child, but also on empowering parents to raise kids that are secure, confident and resilient.
I draw on my years of training and experience, both professionally and with my own children, to offer you practical advice that you can apply easily.
